South Carolina is the place to hunt for Mr. Gobbler. The Lowcountry is the best location with an abundance of turkey.  In April you can drive around the lowcountry and see a dozen or more strutting around in the middle of a field.  You may observe young Turkey crossing the roads early in the year, one at a time with an older turkey as guard, it is not unusual to see fifteen or more.
