Lake Moultrie and connecting lake Marion each have an excess shoreline of
500 miles. Built by the Army Corps of Engineers back in the 40's the
lakes have many shallow flooded areas ideal for Bowfishing. Several
state Bowfishing clubs and organizations have several Bowfishing tournaments
every year on these lakes.
Near Charleston on the Cooper River there are dozens of flooded rice fields
that are flooded and drained by the tides. This means that with every
incoming tide the fish population is renewed. There are many more places to
